What is your first thought every morning?

I am not a morning gal, so my first thought is how badly I wish I could go back to sleep.

What is something you do solely for you?

Getting an iced coffee whenever I feel like it. Usually during the week, but I will never tell myself not to get one if I want one.

What is something you dread?

Doing the fucking dishes. Hate hate hate.

What is something you are looking forward to?

My girl and I are traveling to see one of my favorite artists this year. I’m so excited and counting down the days.

When do you feel most accomplished?

After cleaning my apartment, I’ll dedicate a day where I do everything, and after it's done, I feel so content.

What is something you regret investing in financially?

Renting an apartment when I didn’t have to. I was eager to live alone once I made enough money, and I so wish I stayed where I was before to save.

What is something you regret investing in emotionally?

I don’t think I really regret much emotionally; I feel like I’ve just learned and grown through everything I’ve invested in.

I will say, don’t pour too much into other people who don’t reciprocate their emotions and appreciation. It takes a toll on you eventually.

What are three things you think are absolutely worth the investment?

(financially, emotionally, or time/energy-wise)

1. Therapy!!!!!

2. Dates with your significant other

3. Traveling

When do you feel most creative?

I don’t feel like a creative person. But I love organizing things and believe I can get creative when it comes to that.

How often do you compare yourself to others? When?

Too often. Mostly when it comes to my body. I was diagnosed with PCOS last summer, and I really notice how it has changed the way I look.

What is one thing you’d like to thank your past self for?

Getting help when I needed it. I just got to be 5 years clean from self-harm, and I thank it all for accepting help when it was offered.

What is one thing you believe about your future self?

I believe she’s a great mom. I know there will be obstacles to getting there, but I’ve always envisioned myself being a mom.

What is one thing you learned in childhood that you have now had to unlearn in adulthood?

You can be successful without going to college. It was instilled in me when I was in school growing up, so when I actually went and was severely depressed, I thought something was wrong with me. There is still that small thought that eventually, I'll need a 4-year degree in order to keep a job with enough money, but I’m trying to convince myself that it’s not necessarily true.

Have you ever felt pure joy? When?

When my girlfriend and I had just started going on dates, she took me to a lantern event at a winery near us, and I don’t think I’ve ever felt so much joy or truly lived in the moment before that day. Seeing so many people together doing something like that really got me.

What is something that would feel really good to get off your chest?

I’m so incredibly sick of my parents acting like teenagers now. Since my siblings and I have become adults, it seems as if they forget we’re still their children. I still love them; their actions just have gotten exhausting.

When do you feel most in your feminine energy?

I’ve got two.

1. After taking an everything shower. I don’t know what it is about it, but I feel so refreshed and like I’m a new woman.

2. Getting my hair done.

What is one interaction that changed your life?

Once, in a therapy session, I was talking about people in my life, and my therapist (an angel) told me how I just need to start looking at people's actions and words and just believe what they show me. I so badly kept trying to assume how people felt to make myself feel better just to be hurt in the long run.

What is something you want to give up?

Fast food.

What is something you want to take up?

Working out more.

What do you believe is a universal truth?

You will never regret being kind.

BONUS: Tell me something good.

I get to move in with my girlfriend soon, and I am very excited about it :)
