What is your first thought every morning?
I hope today will be a good day.
What is something you do solely for you?
I feel sad to answer this question because I don’t do a lot for myself. I care for the people around me too much and pour a lot of time into making sure they are okay, so I forget to take care of myself. I used to run a lot, and that made me feel good, but I’ve really lost motivation to do anything these days.
What is something you dread?
Letting someone I care about down. I also dread losing the people I love most. I think about it more than I probably should, but the idea of losing my family, who I’m so close to, feels unbearable. It’s a fear that sits in the back of my mind often.
What is something you are looking forward to?
I’m looking forward to getting a promotion at work. I’ve put in so much effort, and I’m proud of my progress—it’s exciting to think that all that hard work is about to pay off.
When do you feel most accomplished?
When I do something thoughtful for someone else, I can tell it really matters to them. That moment when their faces light up makes me feel so fulfilled.
What is something you regret investing in financially?
I’m proud of my degree but regret choosing a subject I haven’t pursued. It feels like such a big financial and emotional investment in something that hasn’t played a role in my life since.
What is something you regret investing in emotionally?
I regret chasing a one-sided relationship for far too long. I put so much energy into trying to make it work, only to realize that it wasn’t reciprocated. It left me feeling drained and questioning my own worth at times. Looking back, I’ve learned that relationships should feel mutual and balanced, and it’s okay to let go when they’re not. It’s a hard lesson but an important one.
What are three things you think are absolutely worth the investment?
(financially, emotionally, or time/energy-wise)
Travel—it’s the memories and perspectives you gain.
Good-quality shoes—you’re on your feet every day.
Time for yourself - taking breaks or giving yourself the gift of solitude can recharge you for everything else.
When do you feel most creative?
When I’m in the kitchen, experimenting with new recipes. I love the challenge of trying something I’ve never made before and seeing my boyfriend’s reaction when he tries it—it’s so rewarding.
How often do you compare yourself to others? When?
Honestly, too often - almost every day. I’ve always struggled with my weight and feeling good in my skin, so seeing others who seem so confident and effortless in their appearance can be hard for me. Social media amplifies it, with everyone showing their best angles and highlights. It’s a cycle I’m trying to break by focusing on my own journey and celebrating the things I love about myself, but it’s a work in progress.
What is one thing you’d like to thank your past self for?
Working hard for the things I want. I’ve developed a strong work ethic, and I’m proud of the effort I’ve put into building my life.
What is one thing you believe about your future self?
I truly believe that one day, I’ll look around and feel like I’ve made it—that I’ll have the life I’ve always dreamed of.
What is one thing you learned in childhood that you have now had to unlearn in adulthood?
In childhood, I thought success was a straight path—you go to school, get a job, and everything falls into place. In adulthood, I’ve learned it’s far more of a winding road with detours, setbacks, and unexpected opportunities. It’s not about following a formula; it’s about carving out your own path.
Have you ever felt pure joy? When?
I went on a month-long trip to Bali a couple of years ago and honestly think about that trip daily. I worked away for a season and saved every penny of my hard-earned money to go away for a month, and that feeling I felt when I sat on a beach in Bali still gives me goosebumps. It was such a nice feeling to know I worked hard to be here.
What is something that would feel really good to get off your chest?
I sometimes feel like I should be further ahead in life, and it’s something I struggle with. It feels like a weight at times, but I’m learning to reframe it and recognize my progress instead of focusing on where I “should” be.
When do you feel most in your feminine energy?
I feel most in my feminine energy when I’ve just had my hair freshly done. Something about fresh hair makes me feel radiant and confident like I’m glowing from the inside out. It’s not just about the appearance—it’s the feeling of caring for myself and loving how I look in those moments. It’s such an effortless kind of empowerment.
What is one interaction that changed your life?
One time, when I was working in a busy restaurant as a teenager, a customer was incredibly rude to me. I was young and sensitive, and it really upset me—I ended up crying. While I was trying to pull myself together, someone quietly came up to me and handed me a piece of paper. On it, they had written: “Don’t let the bastards grind you down.”
That small gesture stayed with me. It reminded me that I can’t control the people around me—no matter how much I wish I could—and not everyone will have the same heart or intentions as I do. But what I can control is how I respond. That phrase has stuck with me through so many moments in life. It reminds me to keep doing good, stay true to myself, and never let someone else’s negativity drag me down.
What is something you want to give up?
I want to stop worrying about what people think of me. I’ve spent years overthinking and convincing myself that people don’t like me—it’s exhausting.
What is something you want to take up?
I’d love to start a proper skincare routine. Right now, I just use water, and I admire people who have those elaborate routines—it seems like such a beautiful act of self-care.
What do you believe is a universal truth?
What you give out—kindness, energy, effort—comes back to you in some form. Life has a way of reflecting what you put into it.
BONUS: Tell me something good.
It's my 30th birthday soon, and I’m super excited. Also, I think I might be getting proposed to soon eeeek!!
