What is the most important part of your daily routine?
Having a good debrief with my housemates at the end of the day. We discuss anything that
happened at work or throughout the day and how we are all feeling. We usually watch a tv show we like altogether, and it really makes me feel at home.
What is your current happiness most dependent on?
My friends and the activities we have planned. I'm really lucky after moving 3 months ago by myself that I've already got a solid friend group, who love planning fun things and are always there for me. They really are the best people.
What do you wish you were less reliant on?
This is bad, but my vape. I recently started vaping and wish I never did. I can‘t put the thing down it seems!!
When do you question yourself?
I don't really ever question myself. I don't believe there is an incorrect decision you can make in life. Every decision brings me to where I am meant to be.
What is something that has positively impacted how you perceive your self-worth?
The people you surround yourself with. You are a mixture of the 5 people you are closest to so I only surround myself with amazing people who I aspire to be like. I look up to all my friends and the qualities they have. My family members are also the best people ever.
What is something you have forgiven yourself for?
Staying in an abusive relationship. I realise now that I wanted to see the best in him and didn't spot the warning signs at the start when they were occurring. But I have learned a lot of lessons from it and would never tolerate that behavior again. I managed to get myself out of that situation which I am grateful for.
What is something you have forgiven someone else for?
I have forgiven my abusive ex. I hated him for a long time, and it felt like a burden weighing me down. I feel free now and I feel sorry for him.
How do you ground/center yourself?
Going on a walk and appreciating the little things such as the sunset. I love walking with some good tunes on - it really clears my head and makes me realize how truly lucky I am to be where I am. I also love going for a dip in the pool in my backyard.
What is one thing that helped you through your most difficult time?
My family. They are always there for me through everything, my sister listens to every problem I have even though she is really far away. Even if I had nothing on this planet, as long as I have my family, I am happy.
Have you ever felt like the best version of yourself? When?
When I was eating healthy and working out every day. I keep falling on and off it at the moment. I’ll definitely be restarting in the new year!!
What is something you fundamentally disagree with?
Negative talk. The more you talk negatively the more negative things happen in your life!! You're just inviting them in and there are so many things to be grateful for in life.
What is something you know for sure?
That I am a truly great person. I am a good friend, daughter and employee. I really try to show up for everyone and be the best version of myself.
What are three of your non-negotiables in romantic relationships?
1. Respect
2. Loyalty
3. Communication
When do you feel most comfortable in your own skin?
When I'm wearing an outfit that is true to my individual style! I love putting together an outfit and thinking, ‘wow I actually do look cool,’ and not caring what people think. It's something I have really embraced since moving.
Have you ever been in awe of something/someone? When?
I am in awe of my parents all the time. They really gave my siblings and I the best upbringing one could ask for. Not in a materialistic way, as we have always been working class, but as in the love they showed us. My mum quit her job when we were born so she could raise us and they managed off one income. It's something I have truly appreciated the older I have gotten.
What is the best (physical/material) gift you have ever received?
My claddagh ring. It's an Irish ring which symbolises love, loyalty and friendship. I never take it off; my mum bought me it before I moved and I love explaining what it means to non-Irish people.
What is one thing you wish you had said ‘yes’ to in the past?
My best friend and I watched a show in which the character said yes to everything and saw how his life transformed positively a few years back; it was a lightbulb moment for us so we decided we would do that from then on. I really said yes to everything after that and it put me outside my comfort zone massively and I did so many amazing fun things. So I don't wish I had said yes to anything in particular because I really have done it all!
What is one thing you will always say ‘no’ to in the future?
Pointless nights out. I love going out, but it has to be for a special occasion or seeing a specific DJ that I really like. I don't want to go get drunk in a club every weekend. It's so boring and a waste of money.
What do you believe is your most attractive quality?
My happiness! I am always very happy and bubbly and that shines through - everyone always tells me. I really don't know the last time that I have been sad, it's not a feeling I am familiar with and that I am grateful for.
What/who do you want to be when you grow up?
This question really stumped me because I still feel like I'm 18. I wonder when that feeling ends?? So I'm not sure haha.
BONUS: Tell me something good.
Life is just so good! I love being alive!
